By The Spotlight StaffDecember 16, 2023
Update On Charlotte Flair's Knee Injury

Charlotte Flair competed against Asuka on the December 8th episode of SmackDown. However, Charlotte was injured during the bout.

During a commercial break, Charlotte and Asuka lost their balance while on the top of the turnbuckle. Charlotte’s leg hit the top rope when she fell.

The Queen was checked by the medical team last week and was pulled from upcoming WWE live events.

On Friday, WWE announced that Charlotte Flair would be out of action for nine months.

“BREAKING: Due to a knee injury that will require surgery, Charlotte Flair will be out of action for approximately 9 months. More details to come.”

Charlotte Flair was involved in a storyline with Damage CTRL for the past several weeks. Charlotte stated that she was coming for Iyo Sky’s WWE Women’s Title before the injury.

On X, Charlotte Flair posted a heartbroken emoji after the announcement on SmackDown.
