Umar Nurmagomedov To Headline UFC Tampa

UFC Fight Night is scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 14 at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.

Red Corner MMA reported that Umar Nurmagomedov (18-0) will face Song Yadong (21-8-1, 1 NC) in the main event of the show.

Nurmagomedov last competed at UFC Fight Night on August 3, where he defeated Cory Sandhagen via unanimous decision. Yadong’s last fight occurred at UFC 299, where he lost to Petr Yan via unanimous decision.

Nurmagomedov is ranked No. 2 in the bantamweight division. Therefore, many thought he was next in line for Merab Dvalishvili’s title.
