Last Friday, Vince McMahon announced that he is retiring from WWE duties and his announcement made a huge shake-up in WWE management.
McMahon’s daughter Stephanie McMahon and WWE president Nick Khan were appointed as Co-CEOs of WWE. Also, WWE announced that Paul “Triple H” Levesque will resume his duties as EVP, Talent Relations. That position was previously held by John Laurinaitis.
Today, WWE announced that Triple H has been appointed as head of WWE creative.
STAMFORD, Conn., July 25, 2022 – WWE® (NYSE: WWE) and its Board of Directors today announced the appointment of Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan as co-Chief Executive Officers. Ms. McMahon has also been appointed Chairwoman of the Board, and Mr. Khan will continue to serve as a member of the Board. These appointments follow Vince McMahon’s retirement announcement on Friday, July 22.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to lead WWE together with our unmatched management team,” said Ms. McMahon and Mr. Khan. “We recognize this is a tremendous opportunity and responsibility, and we look forward to serving the WWE Universe.”
Additionally, WWE executive Paul Levesque will assume all responsibilities related to WWE’s creative, in addition to his regular duties.
After Vince McMahon’s retirement, Bruce Prichard held the position as head of WWE creative. Now, Fightful Select gave an update on Bruce’s status with the company. They stated that Bruce still remains on the WWE creative team but Triple H has the final say on the creative decisions.
