Tony Khan Explains Why He Changed 2024 AEW All Out Date

Last year, AEW held the All Out a week after the All In. The company decided to change its tradition this year. All In is scheduled to take place on August 25 at Wembley Stadium in London, England. All Out will be taking place on Saturday, September 7 at NOW Arena in Chicago, Illinois.

In an interview with Digital Spy, AEW President Tony Khan explained why he changed the date of All Out. Khan stated that he listened to feedback and realized they could build more storylines by increasing the gap between All In and All Out.

“It was really a great two-week period last year of back-to-back weekends with All In and All Out. There was a lot of feedback of, ‘Hey, what about more time between the shows?’ and they’re both holiday weekends, and I think there’s a utility to both the weekends…

Coming off the stadium show, it’s hard to come in and do anything the week after that, but last year we did it, and the show was fantastic, and a lot of people thought All Out was the best event of the entire year.

One note people had was, If All Out had been a little bit further out, we could have built things a little bit more, and maybe people wouldn’t have been so surprised at how great the show turned out to be… and I thought that made sense.”
