Tony Khan Explains Why AEW Holds Shows In Larger Arenas Despite Low Attendance

All Elite Wrestling is currently struggling to sell tickets, and most of the shows’ attendance is under 5000. However, the company is still holding events at larger arenas.

For a long time, many fans and wrestling personalities suggested to Tony Khan that AEW shows should be held in much smaller arenas. In an interview with GV Wire, Khan explained the reason why AEW does shows in larger arenas.

“It depends on the market and the time. A lot of times, those arenas have a lot of big advantages, like email lists and marketing, and they are a destination venue for shows. It depends on the market and the timing. Certainly, bigger arenas do have a lot of advantages. They have a lot of sales contacts and really good marketing resources.”
