WWE has partnered with various pro wrestling promotions, such as TNA, NOAH, AJPW, and Marigold. The partnerships have benefited both companies. 4000 fans attended this year’s TNA Slammiversary thanks to its collaboration with WWE.
Meanwhile, AEW has a great working relationship with NJPW, CMLL, AAA, and Stardom. Last month, AEW and NJPW held the Forbidden Door for the third time. However, many fans are eager to see the collaboration between WWE and AEW.
In an interview with The Rich Eisen Show, AEW President Tony Khan was asked if fans could see the two big companies [WWE & AEW] collaborating for a show.
“I would love [it] if that were possible. I don’t know that it is, but it would be great if it was possible for the fans. I think that would be wonderful. But there are a lot of challenging business things in the world of pro wrestling that I think would make that a very challenging thing to do.”
