This past Friday, The Rock appeared on the Pat McAfee Show and revealed that he is open to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia. The Great One then made his shocking return to WWE on SmackDown and delivered a People’s Elbow to Austin Theory.
Later in the show, John Cena welcomed The Rock in the backstage. It was Rock’s first WWE appearance since 2019. The Most Electrifying Man In Sports Entertainment received a huge ovation from the fans.
The Rock issued a statement on X and stated that he was completely blown away by the reaction. He thanked Pat McAfee, Austin Theory, and everyone.
