Reason For Piper Niven’s Absence From WWE RAW

By The Spotlight StaffSeptember 5, 2023
Reason For Piper Niven's Absence From WWE RAW

Last July, Chelsea Green’s former tag team partner Sonya Deville suffered an ACL injury. Piper Niven then became Green’s tag team partner on the August 14th episode of Monday Night RAW. Two weeks ago, Niven and Green defeated Katana Chance and Kayden Carter in a Tag Team match on WWE RAW. Since then, Niven disappeared from WWE television.

Last night, Adam Pearce and Chelsea Green had a backstage segment, where Pearce revealed that Niven isn’t medically cleared to wrestle.

Fightful Select reported that Piper Niven is dealing with a short-term illness. Backstage officials believe Niven will be back within a couple of weeks. There are no plans to vacate the tag team titles.

“Word backstage is Piper Niven was dealing with a short-term illness and would hopefully be back in a week or two if all goes well. And no plans to vacate the Tag-Titles or move them off of Niven.”
