Reason For Matt Riddle Removed From WWE Events

By The Spotlight StaffSeptember 12, 2023
Reason For Matt Riddle Removed From WWE Events

Matt Riddle was supposed to wrestle in this weekend’s live events in Kennewick, Washington and Boise, Idaho. However, the company removed Riddle from the events.

This past Sunday, Matt Riddle was involved in an incident at JFK airport. Therefore, many thought Riddle was pulled from live events due to that incident. However, PWInsider reported that The Original Bro is not medically cleared to compete.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer has provided an update on Matt Riddle’s health. Meltzer stated that Riddle had a double ear infection and bronchitis.

“He was not on the show this week, but that’s because he had a double ear infection and bronchitis. It was not punishment as far as I know. He may have been punished also, but as far as I know, it’s an illness.”

Matt Riddle last wrestled on the September 4th episode of WWE RAW.
