Max Holloway Issues Statement After KO Loss To Ilia Topuria At UFC 308

BMF Champion Max Holloway faced Ilia Topuria for the Featherweight Championship in the main event of UFC 308. Unfortunately, the fight didn’t go as Holloway expected. Topuria knocked out Holloway at 1:34 of round 3 to retain the title. It was the first knockout loss of his MMA career.

Max Holloway (26-8) issued the following statement after losing to Ilia Topuria (16-0).

“Sometimes you get an highlight then sometimes you’re the highlight. This is why mma is the craziest sport in the world. Congrats to the El Matador. As to my family, friends and supporters, we good!
