Last July, Vince McMahon was accused of paying nearly $20 million to several women over the past sixteen years. The WWE Board of Directors started the investigation in June which ended in November.
In March, the Executive Chairman of WWE Vince McMahon came to an agreement with WWE regarding the hush money scandal. McMahon reimbursed $17.4 million to the company on March 23rd, 2023. He also agreed to pay the additional cost related to the investigation.
Bloomberg Law reported that a group of shareholders who filed a lawsuit against Vince McMahon withdrew their case after McMahon reimbursed $17.4 million to the company.
“Shareholders leading the consolidated lawsuit agreed to drop it Wednesday, saying their claims became moot when McMahon agreed in late March to repay $17.4 million the company wracked up investigating him. Vice Chancellor J. Travis Laster granted the motion the same day.”
