The Rock made his return for the first time in four years on the September 15th episode of SmackDown, where he delivered a People’s Elbow to Austin Theory. The Great One then met his long-time friend John Cena backstage on SmackDown.
Following his appearance, The People’s Champ issued a statement on social media and thanked Pat McAfee, Austin Theory, and everyone backstage.
The Rock had spent some time with talents on the SmackDown roster that night. Several stars had posted photos of themselves with The Rock on social media.
In an interview with Dailymail, LA Knight was asked if he had any interaction with The Rock on SmackDown. The Megastar stated that he met The Great One backstage that night and had a brief conversation.
“I mean, just a quick kind of, you know, bro hug and ‘Hey, man, how you been? You’re doing great awesome! You know, all that kind of stuff. But at least it was a quick little ‘good to see again.”
