On Monday, Jeff Hardy was arrested in Volusia County, Florida. Hardy had been charged with driving while license canceled/suspended/revoked, violating restrictions placed on driver’s license, and driving under the influence.

ESPN’s Marc Raimondi has provided more details regarding Jeff Hardy’s arrest.

Per the Florida Highway Patrol arrest report on Jeff Hardy, a white car was seen “swerving” and “running off” the roadway Monday around 12:30 a.m. When the officer made a traffic stop and engaged Hardy, the wrestler seemed “to be in a stupor and confused,” per the report.

Once he left his car, Hardy was unsteady and smelled of alcohol, per the report. Officers, through conversation, learned Hardy had been drinking. Hardy could not complete any portion of sobriety exercises successfully “or without risk of falling,” the officer wrote in the report.

Officers administered a breath test, and Hardy’s first sample read 0.294 of blood-alcohol content. A second sample read 0.291. The legal limit to drive in Florida is .08.

PWInsider reported that Jeff Hardy was bonded out of jail on Monday at 7:07 pm ET after paying a $3,500 bond. Hardy was scheduled to appear in court on June 14th at 1.30 p.m. However, now it has been canceled.

This incident occurred after The Charismatic Enigma was attended for the meet and greet event in Florida on Sunday, June 12th.

Prior to Jeff Hardy’s incident, AEW advertised a triple threat ladder match for the AEW World Tag Team Titles on the upcoming AEW Dynamite. The Hardys, The Young Bucks and AEW World Tag Team Champions Jurassic Express were scheduled to compete in the match. However, AEW is no longer promoting that bout on their social media.

The company has announced the following matches for the upcoming AEW Dynamite.

  • Hair vs. Hair match: Chris Jericho vs. Ortiz
  • 20-on-1 Class Action Handicap Elimination Match: Wardlow vs. Plaintiffs
  • All-Atlantic Championship Qualifying Match: Miro vs. Ethan Page

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer reported that WarnerMedia had told AEW to remove Hardy from all promotional things following Jeff Hardy’s arrest. However, AEW did not issue any statement regarding the incident yet.

We will update you when we receive more details. Stay tuned with The Spotlight.
