CM Punk became the AEW World Champion after defeating Jon Moxley at All Out pay-per-view this past Sunday. A lot of incidents happened following the bout and many fans are well aware of that.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer tweeted that CM Punk suffered a serious injury during the AEW World Title match.

Punk injury, believed to be from the tope, is serious. Rumors from Sunday but he hadn’t confirmed them but it’s been confirmed to me no matter what happens discipline-wise that the title situation has to be changed and addressed tonight.

In a follow-up tweet, Meltzer noted that Punk does not appear on tonight’s AEW Dynamite and he is at his home in Chicago.

Just to make it clear, Punk is home in Chicago, not in Buffalo.

CM Punk’s injury is believed to be similar to Cody Rhodes’s torn pec injury.

We will update you when we receive more details. Stay tuned with The Spotlight.
