Chris Jericho and MVP reportedly had a heated confrontation at the hotel on the 18th of May. The two met each other at the hotel following AEW Dynamite taping in Houston, Texas. MVP lives in Huston, and he visited the hotel to see his old friend Matt Hardy.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter is the first to report the situation. Meltzer noted that MVP showed up while Matt Hardy and Chris Jericho were talking to each other. It was also reported that MVP and Jericho exchanged a few words, but nothing else happened.

“After the 5/18 show in Houston, there was a confrontation in the hotel the wrestlers were staying at between Chris Jericho and MVP at about 1 a.m. after the Dynamite tapings. Something that I’m not clear of happened 18 months ago where they had a falling out. Jericho was talking to Matt Hardy and MVP showed up. Most people didn’t know what was up and thought he was kidding around until it became clear he wasn’t kidding. Nothing bad happened even though it was a tense situation. Jericho did tell him that he doesn’t fight jobbers when he got in the elevator and MVP was screaming about it in the lobby.“

Chris Jericho and MVP’s conflict happened because of a tweet regarding the 2020 election. Since then, the two superstars have never had an interaction on Twitter.
