Carlito’s WWE Return Date Confirmed

By The Spotlight StaffJune 23, 2023
Carlito's WWE Return Date Confirmed

Carlito made his WWE debut in 2004. He received a huge push since his debut. Carlito defeated John Cena for the United States Championship in his first match on the main roster. He had held United States Title, Intercontinental Title, and Tag Team Title during his time in WWE. However, Carlito was released from the company in 2010.

The 44-year-old star made his return to WWE at the 2021 Royal Rumble. He then competed in a tag team match in February of that year, teaming up with Jeff Hardy to defeat Elias & Jaxson Ryker. Last month, Carlito made a surprise return during the San Juan Street Fight between Bad Bunny and Damian Priest at Backlash.

Recently, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer reported that Carlito has told an Independent Wrestling promoter that he has signed a contract with WWE.

PWInsider Elite reported that Carlito is scheduled to appear on the July 7th episode of SmackDown at Madison Square Garden in New York City. He will be a SmackDown superstar going forward.

Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Asuka, Bianca Belair, and The Usos are currently advertised for July 7th SmackDown.
