Brock Lesnar Went Off Script At WWE SummerSlam

By The Spotlight StaffAugust 6, 2023
Brock Lesnar Went Off Script At WWE SummerSlam

The third and final match between Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes took place last night at SummerSlam. Both men came to The Biggest Party of the Summer by scoring 1-1 against each other in the feud.

Brock Lesnar tried to get the count-out win last night. However, Cody Rhodes refused to surrender. In the end, The American Nightmare hit three Cross Rhodes on The Beast and picked up the victory. Lesnar shook Cody’s hand after the match. He then raised Cody’s arm and hugged him.

Triple H appeared at the SummerSlam post-show press conference. WWE Chief Content Officer said that last night’s show was the highest-grossing SummerSlam in WWE history. He discussed the moment of Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar after the match. Triple H said that it was completely unplanned.

“I know that Cody said he hasn’t had time yet to digest the Brock Lesnar moment after their match. Completely unplanned, completely in the moment, and for me, you know, Brock Lesnar is such a unique athlete, but I don’t think he gets the credit for being one of the all-time greats at this, right? You know, an unbelievable athlete at the highest of levels, but just talking about sports entertainment, in my opinion, one of the greatest of all time.”
