Benoit Saint-Denis Issues Statement After Losing To Renato Moicano At UFC Paris

This past Saturday, Benoit Saint-Denis faced Renato Moicano in a lightweight bout in the main event of UFC Paris. Moicano landed heavy elbows and punches on Saint-Denis in the first and second rounds. The fight didn’t continue after round 2. The doctor told referee Mark Goddard to stop the fight as the Frenchman was badly injured.

On Instagram, Benoit Saint-Denis issued the following statement after the TKO loss.

“It wasn’t my day, this sport is tough but incredible.

Thank you all for your unfailing support. Proud to have been able to represent France in the octagon at home 🇫🇷.
Respect to my opponent for facing me at home and congratulations to him @renato_moicano_ufc

God puts trials in our path and this one is nothing compared to what I’ve been through 🙏🏼.”
