Adam Cole Provides An Update On His Ankle Injury

Adam Cole Provides An Update On His Ankle Injury

Adam Cole suffered an ankle injury on the September 20th AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam. Cole sustained the injury while jumping off the ramp in the final minutes of the AEW World Championship match.

A week later, Cole appeared on Dynamite along with MJF, where he announced that he required surgery to repair his ankle.

Recently, Britt Baker posted an X-ray of Adam Cole’s injured ankle. Baker stated that Cole broke his ankle in three places in a freak accident. She has been granted time off from AEW to take care of her fiancé.

In a recent Twitch stream, Adam Cole said that he is set to undergo two surgeries. Doctors have told him that eight screws and a plate needs to insert to repair the broken ankle.

One-half of the ROH Tag Team Champions also said that this was the most painful injury that he ever had. Cole will be out of action for an extended period of time.

“My ankle is broken. When it’s all said and done, When I’m eventually able to get everything all fixed, I’m going to need to get two surgeries, and it will be a total of eight screws and a plate in my ankle. So, not ideal. It’s incredibly painful. It’s the most painful injury I’ve ever had.”
