Kenny Omega is one of the top guys in All Elite Wrestling. Last November, Omega and Young Buck made their return to AEW television at Full Gear pay-per-view. The Elite then competed in a best-of-seven match series with Death Triangle for the AEW World Trios Championships.
On the January 11th episode of AEW Dynamite, Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks defeated Death Triangle in a Best of Seven Series match to win the AEW World Trios Titles. Since then, Omega didn’t appear on AEW television.
Fightful Select reported that Kenny Omega is dealing with visa issues and that’s the reason for his absence from the AEW shows.
This past Wednesday, AEW paid tribute to the late Jay Briscoe by holding a tribute show. Jay’s brother Mark Briscoe competed against Jay Lethal during the show. Following the match, the AEW locker room appeared on the stage and paid tribute to the late Jay Briscoe.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that Kenny Omega “badly wanted to be at the show in Lexington because he loved Jay Briscoe”. However, Omega was unable to attend the show due to visa issues.
