This past Saturday, Damian Priest faced Bad Bunny in a San Juan Street Fight at Backlash premium live event. Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio interfered during the match but LWO, Carlito, and Savio Vega took them down. Bad Bunny picked up the victory by hitting a Canadian Destroyer on Priest. The match exceeded all expectations.

PWInsider reported that Damian Priest received huge praise from the management. One source told PWInsider that Priest “has to be seen” as a major star going forward.

“There was a ton of praise internally for all the work Damian Priest has done in recent months to level himself up, culminating with the San Juan Street Fight this past weekend. One source noted to PWInsider.com that he has to be seen as one of the top level players in the company going forward.”

WWE announced that the Street Fight between Damian Priest and Bad Bunny has viewed forty million fans across all of WWE’s social media platforms.

Priest is scheduled to compete in the World Heavyweight Championship tournament against Seth Rollins and Shinsuke Nakamura in a triple-threat match tonight.
