WWE Star Expected To Return On Tonight’s SmackDown

By The Spotlight StaffSeptember 29, 2023
WWE Star Expected To Return On Tonight's SmackDown

Last Friday, John Cena was attacked by Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa on SmackDown. During the show, they also attacked AJ Styles. The Phenomenal One was then taken to the hospital.

As of now, the 16-time World Champion has no tag partner to face Jimmy and Solo at Fastlane. Therefore, the bout was made official as a 2-on-1 Handicap match.

Previously, PWInsider reported that LA Knight was supposed to save John Cena from The Bloodline’s attack on SmackDown. They also noted that Knight was slated to be Cena’s tag partner in a dark match. However, The Megastar tested positive for Covid. Therefore, WWE pulled Knight from the show.

In an update, PWInsider reported that LA Knight is scheduled to appear on tonight’s SmackDown.

“WWE sources have confirmed to PWInsider.com that LA Knight is expected to return at Smackdown taping in Sacramento, CA.”

WWE has advertised a segment and two matches for tonight’s show.

  • United States Championship: Rey Mysterio vs. Santos Escobar.
  • Bayley vs. Charlotte Flair.
  • Bobby Lashley will appear on Grayson Waller Effect.
