Last night, Becky Lynch issued a NXT Women’s Championship open challenge for any new talent on the main roster. However, that challenge was accepted by Natalya. The Man picked up the victory with a roll-up pin.
According to Fightful Select, Tegan Nox was slated to wrestle Becky Lynch on Monday Night RAW. WWE changed their initial plan. As a result, Nox faced Xia Li on WWE Main Event.
BWE reported that the creative team opposed the idea of giving Tegan Nox an NXT Women’s Title opportunity last night. According to BWE, Becky Lynch has requested WWE management to give Nox a chance. However, they wanted to appreciate Natalya for what she did at Superstar Spectacle.
“Natty’s situation was a creative board decision. A token of appreciation for her recent hardwork. Becky chose Tegan, but they felt it was not best. Hope this clear the mud.”
For those who aren’t aware, Becky Lynch couldn’t travel to India for Superstar Spectacle. Therefore, Natalya had to do double duty at the show. She wrestled Zoey Stark and Rhea Ripley in two matches.
