Last night’s AEW Dynamite took place at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, IL. CM Punk made his return to AEW Dynamite after nine months. Punk, FTR, and Ricky Starks saved Hardys from the Bullet Club Gold (Jay White & Juice Robinson) and The Gunns’ attack. However, The Elite didn’t appear on last night’s show live.
According to Dave Meltzer, Tony Khan has informed The Elite to stay away from CM Punk for last night’s show. As Fightful reported, Kenny Omega, Young Bucks, and Adam Page appeared on AEW Dynamite in a pre-recorded segment, where they accepted Blackpool Combat Club’s challenge for a 10-Man tag team match at Forbidden Door.
The Elite received a negative reaction from the fans at the Wintrust Arena last night. However, it wasn’t a surprise as many expected them to receive a negative reaction from the Chicago crowd.
