Cora Jade took a four-month hiatus in 2023 and made her return last December. Unfortunately, Cora suffered an injury this past Friday, which will keep her out of action for several months.
WWE held an NXT live event on Friday, January 12th, at the Dade City Armory in Dade City, Florida. Cora Jade faced Lyra Valkyria for the NXT Women’s Championship in the main event of the show.
During the match, Cora sustained a knee injury. Lyra pinned Cora to retain the title. The 23-year-old was carried backstage by the medical team after the match.
On X, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer reported that Cora Jade suffered a torn ACL during the NXT live event. An ACL tear takes six to nine months to fully recover.
“The Cora Jade knee injury from the weekend house show we talked about on the show last night is an ACL tear.”
