On Monday, Vice President of Post Production Kevin Sullivan was fired by All Elite Wrestling. Sullivan has worked for the company since the launch of AEW in 2019. Senior Vice President and Co-Executive Producer Mike Mansury decided to fire Sullivan.
Recently, Dave Meltzer reported that many people were upset over Kevin Sullivan’s departure.
In another report, Meltzer stated that “Sullivan had built the entire post-production team based in Nashville.” Meltzer also stated, “Mansury told Sullivan that morning that they were moving in another direction in 2024.”
Kevin Sullivan wasn’t explained as to why he was fired from the company. Sullivan also had no idea he would be fired on Monday. Meltzer noted that the post-production team didn’t know Mansury was Sullivan’s boss.
Meltzer added that some people criticize Tony Khan for not taking steps to prevent Kevin Sullivan from being fired from the company.
“There was criticism from some that Tony Khan didn’t step in and stop this from happening given Sullivan’s tenure and work.
Another person noted to us, ‘Another day one guy [is] gone. Sad. Great guy. Worked tirelessly since the beginning. Really understood the original mission statement and feeling/image we were going for.’ Others noted us being in shock about it. Sullivan was heavily praised across the board.”
