On Sunday, Jack Perry defended his FTW Championship against Hook in the Zero Hour at AEW All In. During the match, Perry took a shot at the Real World Champion. Both men got into a backstage fight minutes before the main show started. However, CM Punk was able to wrestle in the opening match and retain the title by defeating Samoa Joe.

Fightful Select reported one side of the story and noted that Jack Perry began the entire drama. PWInsider stated that Perry left the Wembley Stadium after officials ordered him to leave.

AEW President Tony Khan appeared at the All In post-show media scrum, where he confirmed that there was a backstage incident took place between Punk and Perry. Khan said officials and himself are investigating the incident. Khan further said that he can’t comment until the investigation is over.

“Also, I can’t comment on it beyond what I’m about to say. Yes, there was an incident backstage before we went live on tonight’s show. We are investigating it, and until I learn more about what happened, I can’t really address it this time, so I can’t comment. But I did want to be honest and tell you that is the case.”

In an update, PWInsider noted that CM Punk and Jack Perry’s incident took place near the gorilla position. Punk has left the stadium within an hour after his match against Samoa Joe. Several wrestlers are upset about the Punk and Perry drama, as they feel it could overshadow AEW’s accomplishments.
