Christian Cage is one of the top heels in All Elite Wrestling. Christian won the TNT Championship on the September 23rd episode of AEW Collision. Since then, he has made TNT Title one of the most important titles in the company.
The 50-year-old is currently involved in a storyline with his real-life friend, Adam Copeland. This past Wednesday, Christian Cage defended his TNT Championship against Copeland on AEW Dynamite. Christian retained the title with help from Nick Wayne’s mom.
The Patriarch is a mentor to Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne. The two young stars will benefit from Christian’s storyline to build their characters.
Recently, former AEW Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa appeared on Busted Open Radio, where she discussed the Christian Cage/Adam Copeland storyline. Rosa said that the AEW women’s division should have veteran females who help young stars.
“I love Christian and the development of what Christian has done in the last six months. Using new talent to help the storyline makes it so interesting, I wish we had the opportunity to have veteran females who can do that for the women’s division a lot more, to the point in where it’s interesting to watch and it’s different. We have stars that are on the rise, but when you can create things such as what Christian Cage is doing, Just imagine how much more interesting it would be. The stories have a lot more depth, it’s a lot more complicated, and we have the opportunity to do that. We have great veterans in our locker room.”
