The Rock had to turn heel after receiving a huge backlash from fans. The Hollywood megastar slapped Cody Rhodes and joined forces with Roman Reigns after Cody disrespected his family during the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff event in Las Vegas.
This past Monday, The American Nightmare said that he would hit The Rock back. Seth Rollins then told Cody that he was the perfect person to be Cody Rhodes’ shield against The Rock and Roman Reigns.
This Friday’s SmackDown is scheduled to take place at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Rock and Roman Reigns have been advertised for the show.
On Instagram, The People’s Champion issued the following statement ahead of returning to SmackDown:
