By The Spotlight StaffJuly 3, 2023
SPOILERS: Six Matches Planned For WWE SummerSlam

The 36th annual SummerSlam premium live event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 5th at the Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. A few matches for the show have been built during Money in the Bank PLE this past Saturday.

Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez won the new Women’s Tag Team Titles after Shayna Baszler turned on Ronda Rousey. Baszler will face Rousey at The Biggest Party of the Summer. Drew McIntyre made his return at Money in the Bank and challenged Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship. Jey Uso pinned Roman Reigns in the Bloodline Civil War. Therefore, Jey will get a title opportunity.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer reported that WWE already has six matches planned for SummerSlam.

  • Roman Reigns vs. Jey Uso
  • Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar
  • Trish Stratus vs. Becky Lynch
  • Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Bianca Belair
  • Gunther vs Drew McIntyre
  • Ronda Rousey vs. Shayna Baszler

Meltzer also noted that Logan Paul is scheduled to compete at SummerSlam. This past Friday on SmackDown, LA Knight had a confrontation with Logan. Many fans expect the two will clash on August 5th. However, Logan Paul’s opponent isn’t decided yet, as per Meltzer.
