Randy Orton took a hiatus from WWE television since the May 20th, 2022 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Orton successfully underwent back fusion surgery in November of last year.
As of now, The Viper has fully recovered from the injury. However, doctors warned Orton about returning to the squared circle. WWE Hall of Famer Bob Orton stated in an interview that his son wants to return to WWE.
In late September, a fan posted a video clip of Randy Orton arriving at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. In the video, Orton asked fans (in sign language) not to tell anyone.
Sean Ross of Fightful Select reported that WWE is targeting to make the return of Randy Orton at Survivor Series.
“Fightful Select has learned WWE has been planning to have Randy Orton back by Survivor Series.”
Survivor Series is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 25th at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois.
