Sonya Deville Provides An Update After Suffering Torn ACL

Sonya Deville last competed on the July 28th episode of SmackDown, where Deville and her tag team partner Chelsea Green faced Bianca Belair and Charlotte Flair. The bout was a non-title match. Charlotte pinned Green to win the match.

Sonya Deville sustained a knee injury during the match. Deville posted a video on Twitter and said that she needs surgery for her torn left ACL. Deville also said that she will be out of action for an extended period of time.

On Wednesday, Sonya Deville posted a photo of her in a hospital bed and stated that she successfully underwent surgery.

Sonya Deville is one-half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions in WWE. The company has yet to announce its plan for the titles.

Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green won the Women’s Tag Team Titles by defeating Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez on the July 17th episode of WWE RAW.
