Shotzi arrived on the WWE main roster on the July 9th episode of SmackDown last year. At the time, Vince McMahon was in control of the WWE product and she did not receive special treatment. However, Shotzi received a huge push after Triple H came to power.

Last month, Shotzi competed against Ronda Rousey for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at Survivor Series PLE. However, Shotzi was unable to win the title but her storyline with Rousey still continues on SmackDown.

Last week on SmackDown, Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler attacked Shotzi in a parking lot. They injured Shotzi’s hand by slamming it with a car door.

PWInsider has reported that Shotzi had suffered a legitimate injury which was the reason why she was written off from television last week. However, there’s no report on what kind of injury she suffered.

“For those who have asked about Shotzi’s hand injury, we are told that there was a legitimate injury issue that led to the angle on Smackdown last week.”

Earlier this week, Shotzi tweeted that she needs six weeks to recover.

We will update you when we receive more details. Stay tuned with The Spotlight.
