Ryan Garcia Reacts After Being Charged With Vandalism In Beverly Hills Hotel Incident

On June 8th, Ryan Garcia was arrested for damaging the Waldorf Astoria Hotel’s guest room and the hallway. According to the Beverly Hills Police Department, Garcia was intoxicated and was arrested at the request of hotel management for property damage.

On Thursday, Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón filed a charge against Ryan Garcia. The boxer has been charged with one count of misdemeanor vandalism, and the misdemeanor is for damaging hotel property worth $400. If convicted, Garcia faces up to a year in prison along with fines.

George Gascón stated the following regarding Ryan Garcia’s behavior:

“While we are grateful no injuries were reported in this incident, reckless behavior that damages property shows a blatant and unacceptable disregard for the safety and peace of our community. Our office will work to ensure the responsible individual is held accountable.”

The 25-year-old has this to say after the attorney filed a charge against him:

“No way I’m going to jail.”
