Ric Flair Willing To Walk Away From AEW Following Controversial Promo At Rampage

Last October, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair signed a multi-year deal with All Elite Wrestling. Flair appeared on the October 25th episode of AEW Dynamite to be a part of Sting’s retirement journey. However, Flair received a lot of negative reactions from the internet wrestling community.

Ric Flair is a controversial figure in the pro wrestling world. Flair’s reputation was tarnished after Dark Side of the Ring aired the episode of “The Plane Ride from Hell.”

Ric Flair made a controversial comment during this week’s AEW Rampage tapings. The WWE Hall of Famer invited all women between the ages of 18 and 28 who were not married or not in a relationship to meet him in his hotel room. Flair had used these kinds of lines in his prime. However, the modern-day audience is a lot different compared to the past.

On X, Ric Flair apologized for his comment at the AEW Rampage tapings. Flair mentioned Tony Khan and stated that he is willing to walk away from All Elite Wrestling if he’s embarrassing the company.

I Am So Tired Of Hearing All This Negativity! I Don’t Need To Work, And I Don’t Need The Money. Can’t I Simply Enjoy Being By My Dear Friend @Sting’s Side For The Next Few Months Without So Much Hatred? I Know I’m Old, But That Doesn’t Mean I Can’t Enjoy Life! I Have Earned The Right To Do Whatever I Want & I’m Exactly Where I Want To Be! I Appreciate Everything @TonyKhan, But I’m More Than Willing To Walk Away If I Am Embarrassing You And Your Company. All I Can Say Is I’m Sorry!
