Ric Flair last appeared on WWE television on the February 15th episode of Monday Night RAW. At the time, Flair was involved in a romantic storyline with Lacey Evans. Flair then asked for his release from WWE and granted it in August 2021.
After that, the WWE Hall of Famer appeared in several independent wrestling promotions and meet & greet events.
Ric Flair then came out of retirement again and wrestled in a tag team match on July 31st, 2022 at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. However, the Nature Boy is not done with wrestling yet.
On the “To Be The Man” podcast, Ric Flair revealed that he is scheduled to appear at the 2023 Royal Rumble in San Antonio, Texas.
“I’m gonna be there, They didn’t say don’t tell anybody.”

Flair also stated that he will appear for the 30th anniversary of Monday Night RAW.
“I’ve been invited and it’s a f**king big deal. Why, because it’s Raw and it’s a big f**king deal. I’m on it, hell yeah are you kidding me? 30 years.”
