Rhea Ripley became the SmackDown Women’s World Champion by defeating Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 39. Since then, Ripley defended the title a handful number of times on WWE television.
Last May, Rhea Ripley squashed Natalya to retain the SmackDown Women’s Title at Night of Champions. On the June 12th episode of RAW, Ripley was presented with the new Women’s World Championship.
The rematch between Rhea Ripley and Natalya for the Women’s World Championship took place this past Monday on RAW. Ripley hit a Riptide on Natalya and retained the title again. Following the match, The Eradicator attacked The Queen of Heart. Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez then came to the ring for Natalya’s aid.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer reported that Rhea Ripley will defend her Women’s World Title against Raquel Rodriguez at SummerSlam. As of now, nothing was officially announced yet. However, WWE already planned a few matches for the show. You can read more by clicking here.
