Reason Why Samoa Joe Written Off From AEW Television

This past Wednesday, Samoa Joe faced Chris Jericho in a Stampede Street Fight. The bout ended after Jericho drove Joe through a wall. Joe was then stretchered out of the arena by an ambulance.

PWInsider reported that Samoa Joe has been written off from AEW television with the injury angle. They added that Joe is set to return for the shooting of Twisted Metal season two, which will start shooting in late July. PWInsider also noted that the filming will run through October.

“[Samoa] Joe was likely written out as he will be returning for the second season of Peacock series Twisted Metal, which will begin shooting in Toronto later this month. PWInsider is told by numerous sources in the entertainment realm that the series is scheduled to film at least through October.”
