NJPW Announces Bracket For New Japan Cup 2024

The New Japan Cup is the second most prestigious tournament in NJPW, behind the G1 (Grade One) Climax. Sanada won last year’s tournament, defeating David Finlay. Sanada then became the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion by defeating Kazuchika Okada at Sakura Genesis.

On X, NJPW revealed the bracket for this year’s New Japan Cup. The tournament will take place from March 6th to March 20th. 28 wrestlers will compete in the tournament. Previous tournament winners, Sanada, EVIL, Hirooki Goto, and Zack Sabre Jr., received byes. Jack Perry has also been added to the New Japan Cup, and he will face Shota Umino on March 6th at the Anniversary Event.
