Israel Adesanya Announces His UFC 305 Fight

Israel Adesanya (24-3) last competed at UFC 293, where he defended the UFC Middleweight Championship against Sean Strickland (29-6). Adesanya lost the title via unanimous decision.

On X, Israel Adesanya posted the poster for UFC 305 to announce that he will step into the octagon this August. The 34-year-old is scheduled to face Dricus du Plessis for the UFC Middleweight Championship at the event. Adesanya stated the following in the caption:

The SUN will set and will rise again until you walk into it. 🌅
The SUN, enjoy while it shines. Darkness falls when it’s gone.”

UFC 305 is scheduled to take place on Sunday, August 18th at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia.
