Francis Ngannou's MMA Return Announced For PFL Super Fights

Francis Ngannou signed a multi-fight deal with the Professional Fighters League in May of 2023. Last month, Ngannou was appointed as the chairman of PFL Africa, a regional league of the promotion.

On Wednesday, PFL announced that Francis Ngannou (17-3) will challenge PFL Heavyweight Champion Renan Ferreira (13-3, 3 NC) for the PFL Heavyweight Super Fights Championship in the main event of PFL Super Fights on Saturday, October 19th.

Ngannou last competed at UFC 270 in 2022, where he defeated Ciryl Gane via unanimous decision to retain the UFC Heavyweight Championship. Ngannou vacated the title after his UFC contract expired.

Bellator Featherweight Champion Cris Cyborg (27-2, 1 NC) is scheduled to face PFL Featherweight Champion Larissa Pacheco (23-4) for the PFL Women’s Featherweight Super Fights Championship in the co-main event of the show.
