Last Saturday at the UFC Vegas 67 post-fight press conference, Dana White announced that Francis Ngannou was released from UFC and stripped of the Heavyweight Title. White further said that the company offered Francis the most expensive heavyweight fighter contract in the history of the company but he turned the deal down.

Today, Francis Ngannou appeared on The MMA Hour and talked about his release from UFC. Ngannou said that he was offered around $8 million worth multi-fight deal. Ngannou asked the UFC for a three-fight deal with no extension and he hoped that the three fights would be against Stipe Miocic and two fights with Jon Jones. The former UFC Heavyweight Champion stated that he asked to have his own sponsors, health insurance and a fighter advocate at board meetings but UFC refused all three. Ngannou claimed that UFC didn’t release him and he was a free agent since December.
