Last year, Randy Orton was written off from WWE television after winner take all tag team title unification match on the May 20th, 2022 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

Later, Matt Riddle announced that Orton had been dealing with severe back pain over the past couple of years. Randy Orton then underwent back fusion surgery last year. He is now recovering from the surgery.

Recently, PWInsider reported that WWE’s creative team has discussed a return plan for Randy Orton last week. In another update, PWInsider reported that WWE is planning to bring back Orton for WrestleMania weekend in Los Angeles. There’s no word on whether Orton appears on WrestleMania or April 3rd WWE RAW.

WWE had planned a storyline between Orton and Riddle after losing their RAW Tag Team Championship last May. However, the plan was canceled due to Orton’s injury.
