Three months ago, The Viking Raiders made their return on Friday Night SmackDown and attacked The New Day to start a rivalry. They had several matches on SmackDown.

Last time, The Viking Raiders faced The New Day in a Viking Rules Match on the September 2nd episode of SmackDown. The match was won by Viking Raider.

Prior to airing last night’s SmackDown, WWE advertised Erik and Ivar for the fatal four-way tag team match to determine the #1 contenders for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship. However, they were pulled from the bout hours before the show started.

During last night’s SmackDown, Michael Cole announced that Erik of Viking Raiders suffered a foot injury during the Viking Rules match and he will be out of action for a long time.

In the main event of last night’s SmackDown, Ridge Holland and Butch of Brawling Brutes earned the Tag Team Titles opportunity by defeating Hit Row, Imperium and New Day. They will face The Usos for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles on next week’s SmackDown.

We will update you when we receive more details. Stay tuned with The Spotlight.
