Cody Rhodes Comments On “We Want Cody” Trend After WWE RAW Went Off Air

Cody Rhodes Comments On "We Want Cody" Trend After WWE RAW Went Off Air

Cody Rhodes is currently receiving huge support from fans since The Rock interfered in his story. The People’s Champ has now become the most hated superstar among many fans. The Rock’s social media is now flooded with negative comments, while the hashtag “WeWantCody” has trended on X worldwide for three consecutive days.

WWE has acknowledged the fans’ frustration by mentioning the social media trend during Monday Night RAW. The “Rocky Sucks” chant was heard for the first time in years during last night’s show as well.

Cody Rhodes picked up the victory over Shinsuke Nakamura in a Bull Rope match in the main event of WWE RAW. Drew McIntyre assaulted Cody after the match. The show ended with McIntyre standing tall in the ring. Sami Zayn came to Cody’s aid after the show went off air.

Sami Zayn and Cody Rhodes then addressed the fans. Sami told Cody the following:

“You might not be aware of this, but a lot of people have been talking about you this week… It doesn’t matter what I think or what I have to say to you. What matters is what they have to say to you. And I’m pretty sure they got three words for you that I’ve been hearing all week online—words I was hearing when we walked into the building and the crowd was screaming before the event even started. Cody, I think these people have three words for you. [Fans start chanting “We Want Cody”]”

Cody Rhodes then said the following:

“They’re freaking out right now because I’m bleeding, so I definitely need to go get it looked at, but those three words—well, all I can say is this, since I was a little boy who grew up loving everything, for you to want me is special because I have always wanted you. I love you guys so much. I’m sorry I’m in an emotional mess. Please let’s hear it for the man who just came and saved my a-s, Sami Zayn. It’s been a wonderful night. I hope all of you come back the next time WWE is here in St. Louis. I love you guys all very much.”
