This past Saturday, Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks made their return at AEW Full Gear pay-per-view. The Elite faced Death Triangle for the AEW World Trios Championship at the event. However, The Elite was unable to capture the title.

Later, AEW announced that there will be a best-of-seven series for the AEW World Trios Championship.

The second match of the series took place last night in Chicago, Illinois. The Elite received a huge negative reaction from the crowd due to the backstage incident at All Out pay-per-view.

The Elite knew they will receive a negative reaction from the crowd. Therefore, they mocked CM Punk during the match several times. Matt Jackson recreated Punk’s botched Buckshot Lariat. Kenny Omega bit PAC’s arm. Omega also delivered a GTS on PAC to further mock CM Punk.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer noted that people in CM Punk’s camp did not like the Six-Man tag team match.

“I know that there’s people close to CM Punk that boy, were they not happy with that 6-man tag match,”

The Death Triangle is currently 2-0 in the series. Here are the upcoming matches for the best-of-seven series.
