Alexander Volkov Withdraws From UFC 308 Rematch Against Ciryl Gane

Alexander Volkov (38-10) was supposed to fight Ciryl Gane (12-2) in a rematch on Saturday, October 26 at UFC 308 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The fight had to be removed from the card due to Volkov’s injury.

On Instagram, Alexander Volkov stated that the fight had been canceled due to his knee injury. Volkov added that he will start training as soon as possible.

“I have to inform you that my fight on October 26 in Abu Dhabi is cancelled due to my knee injury.

I will try to return to the gym and fight as soon as possible.

So stay tuned and thank you for your support and understanding.”

Volkov faced Ciryl Gane on June 26, 2021, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He lost to Gane via unanimous decision.
