Alexa Grasso Issues Statement After Losing Flyweight Title To Valentina Shevchenko At UFC 306

Alexa Grasso (16-4-1) defended her UFC Women’s Flyweight Championship against Valentina Shevchenko (24-4-1) in the co-main event of UFC 306: Riyadh Season Noche UFC at the Sphere. This was Grasso and Shevchenko’s third encounter in the octagon. Grasso lost her title to Shevchenko via unanimous decision.

On Instagram, Alexa Grasso thanked fans for supporting her. Grasso promised to do better in the next fight.

“I want to thank you for all your support 🤍
It wasn’t the night I wanted.
I’ll get back to training and I promise the next fight will be much better 🦾
I love them 🙏🏼❤️”

Alexa Grasso won the UFC Women’s Flyweight Title by defeating Valentina Shevchenko via fourth-round submission at UFC 285. Their second fight occurred on September 16, 2023, at UFC Fight Night, which ended in a draw.
