AEW Stars Reportedly Frustrated With Declining Popularity Of Company

All Elite Wrestling was red hot after they signed CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Adam Cole, and many others in 2021. However, the company is now struggling to sell tickets and draw viewers.

AEW Dynamite has failed to gain 900,000 viewers for a long time, while Collision has under 500,000 viewers. The attendance at both shows is between 2,000 and 5,000. However, Tony Khan always claims in media scrums and interviews that everything is fine.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer noted that AEW talents aren’t thrilled about the declining popularity of the company.

“There is also frustration from a lot of circles since talent comes to the shows and sees the smaller crowds since the start of the year. [Tony] Khan always paints a positive picture about the company being stronger due to increased revenues or bringing up ratings, and there’s the feeling that popularity is declining overall and changes have to be made to turn it around, and he’s acting like everything is fine.”
