The drama between CM Punk’s side and The Elite didn’t over yet. This past Saturday, The House of Black defeated CMFTR to retain the AEW World Trios Titles in the main event of AEW Collison.
The show took place at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. A few fans had carried pro-Adam Page signs to the event. CM Punk noticed the signs and took shots at Page after AEW Collision went off the air. Punk said that Page isn’t a draw.
“Look at this ‘Carolina is Hangman Country’… Earlier today I went to a local supermarket and I figured out why they call him Hangman. It’s because the pegs in the toy aisle are full of Hangman action figures because nobody wants to buy them. He’s a peg warmer, unlike me who moves merchandise, and pops ratings and sells toys.”
Many fans thought CM Punk and Adam Page had reconciled their melee, and Punk’s comments on Page on AEW Collision were for a future storyline. However, Dave Meltzer stated in the “F4WOnline Daily Update” that it was 100% a shoot promo. Meltzer also noted that Adam Page arrived at the Greensboro Coliseum to record a segment for the upcoming episode of AEW Dynamite. Adam Page was told not to go to the show and record the segment outside the venue.
